Mercedes-Benz School

The Mercedes-Benz School is located in a separated wing of the Lestár Péter Education Center in Kvarc street, in the location of Homokbánya, disctrict of Kecskemét. The school building went through complete renovation before the start of the 2018 school term, so students can now learn in modern, well-equipped classes, group rooms and education halls, under excellent circumstances. School events take place in the renewed great hall and in the gym, which is located on the ground floor. Students have their meals in the school canteen, which is equipped with a modern hot-plate kitchenette and a training room. In the school yard students can use two playgrounds, an AstroTurf football field, a tennis court, a 100-m-long running track, a volleyball court, a long jump track and an outdoor gym with fitness equipment.

The „Mercedes-Benz Schule” is a German school, which means that the education is in compliance with the curriculum of Baden-Württemberg in Germany, and that the certificate that students receive is equivalent to the certificate issued in Germany. As from the 2015/2016 school year the school was opened for the Hungarian pupils as well. Education takes place both in German and Hungarian languages, in cooperation of German and Hungarian teachers. There are always two teachers in the classroom working with the children. To ensure truly effective learning, children are taught in small groups, allowing for more personal attention and a supportive educational environment. In addition to following the official curriculum, students also learn about German culture and develop active, practical German language skills. Learning in the school is complemented by a motivating environment and colorful programs and activities in- and outdoor as well.
