Energy management

Environmental consciousness, the reasonable use of energy carriers and the use of renewable energy play an ever-growing role today, therefore our plant pays special attention to it as well. In the spirit of sustainable development, we operate the ISO50001 Energy Management System, which we optimize through regular reviews of energy audits. In addition to meeting the annual quantity and quality expectations, we also set goals in the field of energy management to achieve for each year. Innovation is present everywhere at the plant, from trigeneration energy production to lighting systems.

To achieve our goals, we introduced energy efficiency measures enabling us to reduce our energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. We use energy-saving LED light sources in halls, at test stations and as outdoor lighting as well. Furthermore, we constantly improve the automatic remote switch-off of individual lighting zones, as needed. In addition to that, we introduced several additional measures that resulted in the reduced use of electrical and thermal energy in our building engineering systems and production facilities. Thanks to these energy efficiency measures, the savings we achieved in 2021 amounts to approximately 4.8 GWh. We pay special attention to keeping our plant’s energy consumption as low as possible during the year-end shutdown periods and production stops caused by the shortage of components that the industry now faces, while ensuring the minimum level of energy required for maintenance and reconstructions works.
