The trainees of the Mercedes-Benz Academy Kecskemét performed excellently at the 2022 Szakma Sztár Competition. In the finals, three students in the tool and equipment manufacturing trade, two in the vehicle polishing, body preparation and coating trade, one in the body coating trade and three in the automotive mechatronics trade represented the Mercedes-Benz plant and the Kecskemét Vocational Training Centre.
All three podium places in the tool manufacturing final were won by students of the company's dual training (1st place: Norbert Orbán, 2nd place: Zsombor Ürögdi, 3rd place: Krisztián Tóth), and three places were also awarded in the automotive mechatronics technician category (1st place: Soma Fülöp, 2nd place: Roland Szilágyi, 3rd place: Zsombor Koppány Petrényi). The trainees also resulted among the first places in the vehicle polishing (1st place: Olivér Henrik Drancsházi, 3rd place: Imre István Kovács) and bodywork locksmith (2nd place: Zsolt Dávid Tóth) competitions. Their example is further proof of the success of the dual training supported by the company. The practical training provided by the Mercedes-Benz Academy Kecskemét training centre offers students the modern knowledge and automotive skills they need to succeed in the labour market in the long term.
