For more than a decade, the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét has been supporting the practice-oriented training of students to ensure that they acquire the competitive skills they need to become the best in the automotive industry and secure a stable existence in the labour market.
The Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét and John von Neumann University have been working together from the very beginning, and their cooperation, the dual training has become a success story, as evidenced by the results of the students who have already obtained dual degrees. The popularity of this form of training, and the "Made in Kecskemét" course, lies in the fact that it brings theoretical training and practical experience closer together. The lectures give students an insight into the operation of the factory, the different areas of production and production support, and even professional insights from the factory's managers and engineering experts.
In 2022, the "Made in Kecskemét" was launched for the third time, with the first lecture, as usual, given by factory director Christian Wolff. The aim of the course is to give students the opportunity to learn directly from automotive professionals during their studies, so that they can start their careers after graduation better prepared and more successful.
