The Mercedes-Benz School was established in 2009 with the joint collaboration of the General Cultural Center of German Citizens living in Hungary, the city of Kecskemét and Daimler AG. The school follows the curriculum valid in Baden-Württemberg and children receive a certificate equal to a certificate issued in Germany. From the school year 2015/16 the school is open to Hungarian children as well. Teaching takes place in both German and Hungarian with the joint work of two teachers, every class is taught with a Hungarian teacher being there with the German pedagogue to deal with the children. In order to make sure that the teaching is really effective, the school launches small classes in very well equipped rooms. In the first class 4 German and 6 Hungarian pupils learn together. The school is planning to provide the possibility of giving a Hungarian and a German general certificate of education in the future.
