Seven thousand ice-creams were given to employees at the Mercedes-Benz plant so they can cool down a little in the sizzling summer heat. Introducing the ice-cream day was Managing Director Mr. Christian Wolff’s idea, he established the tradition earlier at the AMG factory. This is not the first act to protect against the heat. Since the beginning of the summer, a bottle of mineral water is given to employees when they start their shift and shades are fixed above the designated smoking areas. The most important thing though is that a temperature-controlling system was installed in the assembly this summer, so workers on the production line no longer have to suffer from the heat.
