Hungary has been organizing the European Mobility Week and Car-free Day for fifteen years from 16th to 22nd in September. This year people could visit events and presentations of more than 30 trade and civic organizations on Kossuth Square, Kecskemét. Experts from the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét presented the working principle of cars from the future, three models were even brought to Kecskemét: the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive, the Smart Fortwo Electric Drive and one of the electric B-Classes that have been used as “green taxis” on the site of the plant for over a year. The plant will bring the MobileKids program to the event this year again, which is to help prepare children for safe traffic and transportation.
