Automatic equipment maintenance technician

An automatic equipment maintenance technician is involved in the diagnosis and elimination of faults and malfunctions of automated machines, equipment and systems, and, with the help of circuit and control diagrams, instals  PLCs, transfers and archives programs; operates power equipment, is able to troubleshoot mechanical faults; understands the basic characteristics of the electrical machinery used, intervenes as necessary; carries out work in accordance with the authorisations set out in the standards.

Professional skills:

  • operational knowledge of complete mechatronic systems;
  • troubleshooting, repair and optimisation of mechatronic systems;
  • competent operation of electrical peripherals in accordance with the know-how specified in the standards;
  • skillful usage of PLC programming;
  • full application of variable frequency drives;
  • knowledge of applied sensor systems;
  • pneumatic systems operation, error detection and repair;
  • knowledge and application of electrical safety during activities;
  • ability to work independently in accordance with job specifications.
